Holosun makes a wide range of red dot sights that come in various sizes and footprints. However, sometimes it is not very clear which footprint each one has and if it is compatible with a particular handgun.
The RMR footprint is one of the most common red dot footprints and is compatible with most of the full-size handguns on the market today.
In this guide, we will review which Holosun red dots have the RMR footprint.
Holosun Red Dots with the RMR Footprint
Holosun 407C
The Holosun 407C is an open red dot sight and is the entry level sight for full size handguns. It is available with a red or green 2 MOA dot, has solar failsafe, and has a “shake awake” battery saving feature.
It has the RMR footprint, and you can learn more about installing it on your handgun in our Holosun 407C/507C mounting guide.
There are two models available, one with a red reticle and one with a green reticle:
Red Reticle: HS407C X2
Green Reticle: HE407C-GR X2
Holosun 507C
The Holosun 507C looks the same and has the same dimensions as the 407C. It has all the same features as the 407C plus Holosun’s Multi Reticle System (MRS).
The MRS has a user selectable reticle with a 2 MOA dot and a 32 MOS circle. The reticle can change between just the dot, just the circle, or both the dot and the circle. It is also available with a red or green reticle.
The 507C has the RMR footprint. Installing it is the same as the 407C and described in our Holosun 407C/507C Mounting Guide.

Red Reticle: HS507C X2
Green Reticle: HE507C-GR X2
Holosun 507 Comp
The Holosun 507 Comp is a larger, competition style red dot. It has a larger viewing window than the 507C and has the Competition Reticle System (CRS). It does not have a solar panel for the solar failsafe function
The CRS is user selectable and has a 2 MOA dot plus three circles that are 8, 20, and 32 MOA in size. These four elements can be shown alone or in combination with each other in the reticle for a total of 8 different possibilities.
It has the RMR footprint, and you can learn more about installing it on your handgun in our Holosun 507 Comp mounting guide.
There are two models available, one with a red reticle and one with a green reticle:
Red Reticle: HS507COMP-RD
Green Reticle: HE507COMP-GR
Note that there is a RONIN version of this red dot. It is the same as the standard 507 Comp except for the reticle. The reticle in the RONIN 507 Comp only has the 2 MOA dot and the 32 MOA circle.
Holosun 508T
The Holosun 508T is similar to the 507C red dot. The main differences are the body has more of a square shape and is made from Titanium. It has the same reticle and includes shake awake and solar fail-safe.
The 508T has the RMR footprint. Installing it is the same as the 507C and described in our Holosun 407C/507C Mounting Guide.

The Holosun 509T is an enclosed red dot sight similar in size to the 508T. It includes all the same features as the 508T with the main difference being it is enclosed instead of open. It is intended for hard use and has a nitrogen purged chamber.
While the 509T has a unique footprint, it does come with an RMR-to-509T adapter plate, so it will mount to any RMR handgun with the included plate. You can learn more about installing it in our Holosun 509T Mounting Guide.

While the EPS has the Holosun K footprint, it does come with an RMR-to-K adapter, so it will mount to any RMR handgun with the include plate. You can learn more about installing it in our Holosun EPS Mounting Guide.
